Triple Chasm
Tools
Based on extensive research we have built a range of tools to help the different players in the intervention ecosystem to achieve their business objectives.
Navigator
What is it?
The Navigator tool offers a quick introduction to our commercialisation approach for science and technology enabled innovation; It's the first step in applying the systematic and powerful Triple Chasm Model to your businesses.
If you are an entrepreneur, senior executive, or an advisor to a business commercialising a novel science or technology based idea, this is the ideal tool to give you an initial snapshot of your existing situation relative to the 12 key considerations (or Vectors); providing a starting point to deciding where your efforts should be focused next.
How do I use it?
Complete the Company Profile, respond to the Questionnaire, then review your results on the Dashboard to gain insights into where your effort should be focused next.
Using these insights, complete the Commercialisation Canvas (Register for your free download) to construct an execution plan that describes the activities you need to perform in order to take your venture to the next stage; be it winning customers, finding partners, expanding your team or fund raising.
Alternatively get in contact with us to discuss further options, such as attending one of the sector specific programmes that we deliver for all stages of the commercialisation journey.

Download a free copy of the Navigator and complete the Profile and Questionnaire sections, reflecting on and responding to the questions in relation to your venture. If you have a team, getting them to join you in this process can help establish an aligned view of where the business is and what actions need to be taken to move it forward.

Commercialisation Canvas
What is it?
The Commercialisation Canvas is a powerful tool to help assess the relative progress of a business on its commercialisation journey and to identify the necessary actions required to increase your chances of success.
It uses the systematic Triple Chasm Model framework to thoroughly assess the internal and external vectors affecting progress, and the interventions required to cross the next chasm.
If you are an entrepreneur, senior executive or a advisor of a business commercialising a novel science or technology based idea, this canvas is the ideal tool to help you ascertain those areas of your business that require further development.
How do I use it?
Use the Commercialisation Canvas to assess your business with the broader context provided by the 12 vectors. Generate meaningful insights for setting commercialisation priorities and translate them into specific activities as part of your execution plan.
Typically, companies that use this canvas have:
-
Reappraised their progress along the commercialisation journey in a more nuanced manner
-
Reassessed their challenges ahead and revised the priorities for tackling them
-
Made corrections to their strategy by taking into account the revised priorities and corresponding resource requirements

Download a free copy of the Canvas and print off, preferably on A3. Reflect on and respond to the questions listed next to each commercialisation vector with your team, if you have one. From the responses that can be provided (and those that cannot be), identify those vectors that have the most gaps need further work.
Prepare an action plan to address the gaps and further refine your commercialisation strategy.
